LEND Directors Meetings
Two LEND Directors Meetings are held each year, one in the Spring, typically in conjunction with the AMCHP Conference, and one in the fall, always in conjunction with the AUCD Conference. Follow the links below to access available archived meeting materials.

November 2015
This meeting (held in conjunction with the 2015 AUCD Conference) provided an opportunity for LEND Directors to hear important updates from AUCD and MCHB, as well as discuss issues of importance.

January 2015
This meeting in Washington, DC, allowed LEND & DBP Directors to exchange information and best practices; to identify and address specific interdisciplinary and disciplinary training needs; and to foster increased cross-program coordination and collaboration.

This meeting was held in Washington, DC, in conjunction with the Disability Policy Seminar. Significant time was spent on discussing the following topics: training opportunities in transition, trainee long-term follow up surveys, increased participation of self-advocacy trainees, trainee diversity efforts, examining LEND programs, the new MCH Workforce Development Center, LEND leadership training, AUCD Network Strategic Planning, the need to reauthorize the Combating Autism Act, and regional group work.

Held in conjunction with the Combating Autism Act Initiative Meeting in Crystal City, VA and included participation from the Directors of MCH-DBP Programs.

All LEND Directors and their representatives are invited to this meeting to hear an update from MCHB Project Officers, discuss common issues among the LEND network, and learn new initiatives happening at other LENDs.

The 2012 February LEND Directors meeting featured a discussion with the new Associate Administrator for MCH, Dr. Michael Lu, and group discussions about the LEND self-assessment and regional group activities.
