Kathleen Braden, MD

Kathleen Braden, MD is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where she has an interdisciplinary practice for school aged children with behavioral disorders/developmental disabilities and teaches residents, medical students, and allied health personnel in child development and developmental disabilities. She is also the Director of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program (LEND) at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center, a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.

Kathleen's interests include incorporating developmental screening into primary care practice, the development of curriculum for medical students and medical residents in the care of people with developmental disorders, and training of physicians and allied health personnel in developing world countries in child development/developmental disabilities.

Kathleen received her MD and completed her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics from Albert Einstein School of Medicine/ Rose F. Kennedy Center, in the Bronx, NY. Her undergraduate degree is from Barnard College, Columbia University.
