Sarah Mueller, MPP

Policy Fellow

Sarah Mueller, MPP, is the 2019-2020 Disability Policy Fellow where she works on federal policy and legislative issues that affect people with developmental disabilities and their families. Before joining AUCD, Sarah earned a Bachelors in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University, and taught high school students with intellectual disabilities in Rochester Hills, MI. Since then, Sarah served as a UCEDD Trainee at the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University while earning a Masters in Public Policy and graduate certificate in Disability Studies. As a trainee, she provided technical assistance for the College of Direct Support, Developmental Disability Council meeting support for Pennsylvania's self advocates; supported the public policy team; and worked at the Augmentative Communication Empowerment Supports (ACES) summer intensive.

Both as a sibling to a sister with Down syndrome and as a professional, Sarah has a passionate dedication to serving and progressing the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities, especially creating social policies for people with disabilities that are just and equitable.
