Juliana Schifferes

Intern

Juliana "Jules" Schifferes is an intern with AUCD for the Spring of 2017. She comes to us through Broad Futures, an organization designed to help young people with learning disabilities and on the autism spectrum succeed in the workplace. Broad Futures is committed to the successful entry into the workforce for young adults with learning disabilities that affect their attention, organization and social functioning.

Jules first gained experience with disability rights job shadowing, and later interning, with the Institute for Educational Leadership, a technical assistance and workforce development nonprofit. Other experiences include grant research for a Haitian anti-slavery nonprofit, Beyond Borders; the White House's 2016 #NDEAM design workshop; and a seminar on human trafficking, the 'Students Opposing Slavery' summit at Lincoln's Cottage.

Jules brings experience with research and editing, and most importantly a willingness to learn anything put in front of her. At AUCD, she provides administrative assistance across departments.
