The Department of Disability and Human Development, University of Illinois Chicago invites applications for a non-tenured-track faculty position at the Clinical Assistant Professor level. We seek a candidate who can serve as faculty and clinician in the Developmental Disabilities Family Clinic. This position reports to the Department Head.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments with children and adults with IDD
  • Conduct individual or group therapy with individuals with IDD
  • Provide therapy or counseling to families
  • Lead or co-lead in development and implementation of research grants
  • Conduct training on clinical issues in serving individuals with IDD and their families

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology
  • Professional license as a psychologist
  • Experience in conducting diagnostic assessments and providing therapy to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism
  • Experience in conducting clinical research regarding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
  • Experience in teaching or providing training workshops on disability issues
