Program Manager - Leadership and Career Studies (L&CS), Institute on Disabilities at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA

The primary responsibility of the Program Manager of Leadership and Career Studies (L&CS) within the Institute of Disabilities (IOD) is to oversee the day-to-day activities of the program, supervise and lead the staff team, and maintain and continue to enhance the quality of the curriculum and associated student experiences as best practices in the field evolve.

This position reports to the Senior Research Associate.  L&CS is a comprehensive transition and postsecondary program (CTP) for students with intellectual disability, and students complete a university-approved certificate over four years. This position reports to the Faculty Advisor for L&CS.  Performs other duties assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and at least four years of directly related experience. Master’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Inclusive Higher Education programs for young adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.  
  • Demonstrates values consistent with the vision and mission of the Institute on Disabilities to promote the inclusion of all people of diverse cultures and abilities. (https://disabilities.temple.edu/about)
  • Demonstrates experience in working with family members who have young children with disabilities, and adults with disabilities.
  • Working knowledge of all applicable computer software and applicable professional principles.
