Do you love to collaborate to help improve performance of organizations and provide technical assistance to association members?  AUCD, a national nonprofit organization that supports the disability community, is seeking a new Senior Program Manager to assist approximately 68 federally funded University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service (UCEDDs).

As the Senior Program Manager, you will manage the UCEDD Resource Center (URC) and collaborate between the URC and other AUCD teams. Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of training and technical assistance (TA) provided to the national network of UCEDDs to improve their program performance, statutory compliance, and program outcomes. Ensure the quality, efficacy, and continuity of TA activities provided in response to identified UCEDD network needs. Supervise team members. Participate in strategic planning, grant writing, budgeting, policy education, and other activities in support of AUCD’s mission, vision, and values. This position is funded by a federal contract.

 

Overview of Responsibilities

Provide project management for the federal award, coordinate and collaborate with other AUCD, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (OIDD), and national partner efforts. Assist in development of applications for funding.

Manage projects for all technical assistance (TA) and training activities, ensuring high quality and timeliness of coordinated, comprehensive, and specialized training and TA activities, while serving as lead staff on key activities.  Identify areas of need for training and technical assistance for UCEDD grantees.  Oversee training and TA activities including but not limited to planning and implementing national meetings, webinars, and individual consultation and site visits.

Manage data collection and project evaluation activities, including reviewing and monitoring all evaluation data related to the project, leading continuous quality improvement, and developing an annual project evaluation report.

Develop and monitor the annual project budget, in consultation with supervisor and finance team.  Facilitate development, review and approval of all sub-awardee agreements, invoices for payment, project staff expense reports & timesheets, and grant invoices & expenditures

 

Position Requirements

Education: You will be qualified for this position if you have a master’s degree in a social science, education, administration, public health, policy, or other relevant field (or equivalent experience) OR two (2) years of equivalent professional experience.

Experience: You will be qualified for this position if you have Eight (8) years of professional experience providing technical assistance and consultation in topics related to disability, advocacy, capacity-building, systems change, and/or program leadership and management in higher education settings.

Supervisory: Directly supervises two (2) full-time program staff and shared supervisory responsibility for three (3) additional full-time staff.  Assigns, supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned staff. 

 

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000.  This position is funded by a federal contract and cooperative agreement and will be contingent upon continued funding.

Note: this will be an in-office position once AUCD begins a gradual return to our office in Silver Spring.  AUCD will continue to operate remotely through Spring 2022.  After that we plan a phased-in return to the office.
