JOB TITLE:  RESEARCH ASSOCIATE III

JOB PURPOSE:

Plan and design complex research project(s); manage operational, financial and personnel functions of designated project(s) under limited supervision. Organizes, preserves, analyzes, interprets, and disseminates high quality data related to activities, operations of WIND projects and research under the direction of WIND Director of Research and Evaluation and in collaboration with WIND leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare grant applications, contracts, and related budget recommendations.
  • Design, manage, and participate in all phases of research projects including researching, editing, planning, and overall project management
  • Serve as technical consultant and coordinator of research project(s), including both small statewide and large multi-state projects, by developing research objectives, determining measures, experimental protocols and procedures, and integrating diverse participants and communities into projects.
  • Conduct and facilitate innovative community-based participatory research which require the application of novel methods and procedures for which precedents may not exist.
  • Develop and conduct program evaluation for state, regional and national programs.
  • Provide consultation or training to the public or University community; and conduct workshops, trainings or other trainings.
  • Research literature to define additional research needs specific to methodologies and to prepare manuscripts.
  •  Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Master's degree in a field related to area of research, evaluation, psychology, sociology, public health, behavioral sciences, disabilities studies, or related fields.

Experience: 3 years work-related experience, including quantitative and/or qualitative research or program evaluation experience with increasing degrees of responsibility
