Overview
As a Clinical Psychologist for our Autism Center you will provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and families with serious developmental, emotional, and behavioral problems in a manner which results in improvements in the child and family's functioning in multiple life domains and is cost effective.
Potential for a leadership position depending on experience.
Requirements
Required Education/Experience:
- PhD in clinical psychology, with specialization in child clinical psychology from an APA-accredited training program
- Completion of an APA-approved internshipFormal post-doctoral training in an appropriate area of specialization
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders
Additional experience needed for the Autism Center:
- Clinical experience in assessment and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders across the pediatric age range (experience with adults also valuable, but must have pediatric experience)
- -Clinical expertise conducting intervention and management of high acuity patients, possibly including but not limited to suicality, homicidality, aggression, self-injury, property destruction and elopement.
- -Clinical experience conducting intervention and management of high acuity patients (as outlined above) across a partial or full continuum of care (e.g., outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospital, emergency department, inpatient).
Preferred:
- Post-doctoral level experience in pediatric psychology
- Experience in a pediatric medical setting
Required Credentials:
- Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington
- Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment. All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year.
