The Department of Occupational Therapy, College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position to join a dynamic and expanding department. The successful applicant will serve as faculty in the Department of Occupational Therapy, with primary responsibilities in research and teaching and secondary responsibilities in service activities as assigned. Research-related duties include all aspects of scholarship such as proposal development and submission; implementing and executing existing and new grants; scientific dissemination including conference presentations, manuscript publications, knowledge translation activities, and scientific report writing; and mentoring graduate students.

 

Applicants must have a research doctorate in occupational therapy, occupational science, public health, another rehabilitation science discipline or comparable area of specialization. Preferred candidates are licensed/license-eligible as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida. Successful applicants will have clearly defined expertise in their area of scholarship, a record of peer-reviewed publications in credible journals, and demonstrate excellence in teaching. Successful applicants at the Associate level will have a strong record of external grant funding in order to contribute to our vibrant research portfolio, with preferred candidates conducting work that addresses health disparities, underserved populations, cultural competence, or social justice.
