Position Title: Senior Research Associate
Department: Center on Disability and Development, Texas A&M University, College Station TX
Salary: $60,000-66,000 annually commensurate with experiences

Job Duties:

Take the primary responsibilities of conducting research to identify employability
skills that are essential for students with disabilities to gain and maintain employment. -
Under the direction of the Project Director, take a lead in designing a high school elective course focused on developing the employability skills of students with disabilities.

Engage in an iterative process to develop a curriculum for the high school elective course.

Under the direction of the Project Director, lead research activities to test the curriculum and gather feedback from stakeholders for subsequent revisions.

Participate in a team to collect and analyze research data from field-test of the curriculum and make necessary revisions.

Participate in a team to develop graphical and electronic features of the curriculum.

Participate in writing research reports.

Assist with writing grant proposals.

Perform other duties assigned by the Center Director.
Required Education and Experience
Doctoral degree in special education, vocational rehabilitation, educational psychology, or related field; three or more years of high school teaching or vocational rehabilitation counseling experiences; ability to multi-task; and excellent communication and inter-person skills for working cooperatively with others. A Master's degree with outstanding experiences in transition, research, and curriculum development will be considered.
