Position Summary
The Department of Psychiatry and the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities, at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. We are seeking a child psychiatrist with an interest in research, clinical service and a role in training in developmental disabilities. We are particularly interested in helping to shape the direction of a child psychiatrist interested in developing an academic career in developmental disabilities. Significant previous experience with clinical services and/or research related to developmental disabilities, while ideal, is not required, as research training could be a component of the early part of this position. This position would complement our multidisciplinary clinical services and clinical program and add to our well-developed research program in neurodevelopmental disorders. Educational Requirements
Board-certified or board-eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent.

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must have completed a residency in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated ability to write successful grant applications and publish in refereed scientific journals.
