We are seeking to fill an open-rank tenure-track position in special education, with expertise in autism or other low-incidence disabilities. Our preference is for applicants at the associate or full professor levels, but we also encourage junior faculty applicants who have demonstrated strong scholarship potential. Applicants are desired with well-defined programs of research in the area of low-incidence disabilities, who have demonstrated expertise in obtaining extramural funding, and who are dedicated to high quality graduate teaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities include: (a) continue or establish a successful program of research in a well-defined area which will impact the field, preferably in low-incidence disabilities; (b) publish in high-quality refereed journals; (c) secure external funding to support research, personnel preparation, and outreach; (d) teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; (e) provide service to the program, department, college, and the profession at state and national levels; and (f) work to extend research efforts to diverse populations.

Earned doctorate in Special Education or a closely related field is required. Other qualifications include evidence of or potential for significant research, quality publications, and external funding, preferably in low-incidence disabilities; commitment to teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, including those from diverse backgrounds; and commitment to collegiality and collaboration.
