CRPD Approved by Senate Foreign Relations Committee

The CRPD was approved by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee today on a bipartisan vote of 13-6. The vote took place following a series of amendments.

Sens. Kerry (MA), Boxer (CA), Coons (DE) and Durbin (IL) really stood out in regards to trying to control the amendments and redirect the committee to the purpose of the Convention. The next step will be for the full Senate to ratify the Convention.
