Alison Barkoff
Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law

In Recognition of Your Leadership, Advocacy,
and Commitment to Individuals with
Developmental Disabilities and their Families

"As a disability rights lawyer with a background in mental health law and as a sibling of a person with a disability, Alison brought a unique perspective to her work in the Federal government and facilitated an unprecedented level of interagency collaboration and engagement with disability community stakeholders. Alison worked on three of the most important changes to community living opportunities for people with disabilities in the past few years, requiring navigation of tricky politics and diverse stakeholders. In each scenario Alison served as a valued representative of the disability community and brought an unprecedented level of interagency collaboration and engagement with disability stakeholders.”
