Project Description
There are approximately 600 families in Rhode Island in which the parents have an intellectual or developmental disability. The Supported Parenting initiative provides support to these families as they develop and implement a self help plan. Areas targeted in the plan include access to supports and services, education, employment, housing, parent-child interactions, developing a network of supports. Outcomes achieved by families are measured on an annual basis.
