Vita/Bio
Dr. Jesse Suter's research and work focus on community and school-based Wraparound, special education service delivery to promote inclusion of students with disabilities, and interdisciplinary interventions for children and youth with emotional and behavioral challenges.
Dr. Suter has led and collaborated on federal and state funded projects in mental health, special education, and child welfare. He was Principal Investigator an Institute of Education Sciences (IES) grant of Efficacy of RENEW for High School Students with Emotional and Behavioral Challenges. He currently serves as co-investigator on an IES grant to develop school-based wraparound. He has published over 30 articles and book chapters. In 2021, he received the Joseph A. Abruscato Award for Excellence in Research and Scholarship.
As director of CDCI, he oversees personnel and projects at the Center while supporting UVM, state agencies, and state and national groups to promote equity and inclusion for people with disabilities. He also serves on the editorial board of the Developmental Disabilities Network Journal.
