Research: | Cristina's areas of specialization include service delivery for children, youth and adult at risk populations at the organizational, state, and family level. Cristina is interested in at risk populations that include individuals at risk or with disabilities, minority groups and substance using populations and the contributing factors to successful outcomes for these groups. | ||||||||||||||

Vita/Bio
B.A. - Fairfield University, Psychology, 2001
Dr. Cristina Mogro-Wilson joined the University of Connecticut School of Social Work faculty in the fall of 2009. She teaches research methods and disability courses.
Dr. Mogro-Wilson served as the Research Director (2006-2010) of the Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) at the UConn Health Center, she has served as the Project Coordinator for a variety of research projects at the center including: The Center to Inform Personnel Preparation Policy and Practice in Early Intervention and Preschool Education; The role of the parent-youth relationship in adopted children with special health care needs; Primary care physicians and their role with adults with autism spectrum disorders; Needs for caregivers of adults with Down Syndrome and Alzheimer's; and Service Provision for Internationally Adopted Children.
