• Strengthened English classes by coordinating lesson plans and special programs for university classes in 6 cities throughout the interior of Uruguay; collaborated with 10 professors, reaching over 400 students

• Created and instructed 6 different special program courses related to the scientific majors instructed at Universidad Tecnológica to engage the students in language acquisition through their academic interests

• Collaborated in 3 online English classes by creating online activities through the university's online class platform

 

Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha                                                 June 2016 - March 2018

Strengthening Families Coordinator (Bilingual)                                                    Philadelphia, PA

• Coordinated the embedding of the Strengthening Families Protective Factors FrameworkTM into the agency and the communities that we serve to strengthen our community and ultimately reduce reentry of children and families back into the foster care/child welfare system (CUA).

• Organized, planned and facilitated therapeutic parent workshops (Parent Cafes) and community events for our communities and CUA involved families by networking with schools and community centers

• Collected data on impact and outreach of Parent Café and community events as well as track spending, materials used and donations to quantify mainly qualitative impact

• Coordinated trainings for APM staff on the "Strengthening Families Overview" and the "Living the Protective Factors" professional development workshops to ensure that CUA case managers utilize and share the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework with their CUA families.

 

Life Skills Coach (Bilingual)

• Administered the Ansel Casey Life Skills assessments in English and Spanish to foster teens ages 13-17 to evaluate their life skills and determine their future goals to best help them transition smoothly into adulthood

• Located and contacted resources for teens specific to their interests to provide them opportunities to expand their knowledge and learn about what they would like to do in the future
