Vita/Bio
Eldon G. Schulz, MD is a Dev-Beh Pediatrician, Professor, CoM and the CoPH at UAMS and is the Rockefeller Chair for Children with Special Needs. He is Chief of Dev-Beh and Rehab Peds in the Dept of Peds at UAMS. He is Medical Director for the AR Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (6 years), AR Title V Program for CSHCN (10 years), the Dennis Developmental Center (20 years) and Co-chair of the ACH Bioethics Committee (10 years). He is a core member on the AR "Learn the Sign, Act Early' Campaign sponsored by the CDC to increase awareness to Autism. He is the PI on the CDC Autism Surveillance Grant, the MCHB LEND and Autism Grant, MCHB Autism Intervention Research (AIR-P) grant, Co-PI on the Autism Treatment Network (ATN) funded by Autism-Speaks and MCHB, and was CoPI on MCHB LEDBP Grant. His publication record is in CSHCN, including the Medical Home, ADHD and Autism. He completed medical school in South Dakota, his residency in Pediatrics in San Diego and his fellowship in Dev-Beh Peds at the Univ of Mass, Worcester. He worked for the Army for 6 years, before joining UAMS in 1991.
