Vita/Bio

Sheela Stuart earned her Doctorate degree from the University of Nebraska, with special emphasis in the area of augmentative and alternative communication.  She has worked in this area providing clinical service and teaching in South Dakota and New Mexico.  She is currently the Director of Children's Hearing and Speech Center at Children's National Medical Center and an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at George Washington University, Washington, DC.  She is widely published and asked to provide consultation in the area of augmentative and alternative communication on a national and international basis.
