Skye Peebles has worked on media, technology, healthcare, and other self-advocacy projects as part of Green Mountain Self-Advocates (VT's statewide organization run by and for people with developmental disabilities) since 2008. Some of Skye's experiences include serving as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana from 2006-2008; being a Health Administration Fellow in the University of Rochester Leadership Education and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program from 2010-2011; and being a Student Fellow in the American Public Health Association's Maternal and Child Health Division from 2010-2011.

Skye has a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Rochester School of Medicine (2011) and a Bachelor's Degree from Mount Holyoke College (2005). She lives in Southern Vermont with her husband, Evan and their dog, Dixie.
