Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Read this page in plain language

AUCD Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are made up of individuals who have common topical interests such as emergency prep, family support, assistive technology, and so on. SIGs, which are open to anyone in the AUCD Network as well as external partners and stakeholders, serve as a mechanism for sharing information, engaging in respectful dialogue, and generating new ideas.

AUCD to Transition Email Discussion Lists to Google Groups
Over the coming months, AUCD will transition its email discussion lists from LYRIS to Google Groups. This change will reduce costs while also improving the long-term sustainability and reliability of AUCD's communication infrastructure. Subscribed members will continue to participate via email as they do today. Each discussion listserv will have its own transition timeline, and additional information will be shared with each group before its move.
AUCD staff will provide support and guidance throughout the process. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we make this transition.

SIGs allow Network members to meet and discuss critical topics in the disability field. A Chair or Co-Chairs lead SIGs. SIGs meet virtually throughout the year and in person annually at the AUCD Conference. SIGs are open to all Network members, external partners, and constituents. Emerging Leaders are encouraged to participate.
