1.2 - DD Education in University Academic Programs
Project Description:
Participate in broader University academic programs that prepare personnel in a wide range of social and community roles that will contribute to the accommodation and inclusion of all people with DD. Examples of activities/programs:
a. Provide training to graduate students in education, psychology, human development and other majors through Learning and MIND Sciences courses.
b. Provide the Fundamentals of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) course
c. Conduct lectures and training in the UCD School of Medicine training programs
d. Collaborate in development of special education credential program with UDL focus
e. Training on DD to undergraduate students through courses and seminars (School of Ed; Human Devel), MCHC RISE-UP and MINDGAP summer programs, training Redwood SEED Mentors)
