Center for Well-being in School Environments (WISE)
Project Description:
MedStar/Georgetown Center for Wellbeing in School Environments (WISE)
The WISE (Well-being in Schools and Education) initiative supports the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) by fostering whole-school strategies that address the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students—while also centering the well-being of educators. WISE partners with schools to build tiered systems that integrate data-driven, inclusive practices with direct therapeutic and reflective support for teachers. By offering parallel services for staff and students—including coaching, consultation, and targeted interventions—WISE helps create sustainable, trauma-informed environments where both students and educators can thrive.
