Project Description:
The Communications Disorders Clinic at the UTHSC Center on Developmental Disabilities was established in 1975 by the Memphis Scottish Rite Foundation, Inc. The mission of the Clinic is to: (1) diagnose young children with hearing concerns, language delays, and social communication disorders (e.g. autism); (2) provide speech and language therapy at a minimal cost to families, (3) provide parent and community education regarding childhood hearing and communication disorders, and (4) train professionals in the area of pediatric hearing and communication disorders.
