Bridging the Gap: A Participatory Approach to Understanding and Addressing the Research Related Concerns of the Neurodiversity Movement
Project Description:
The purpose of this study is to better understand people's perspectives on different types of autism research. In understanding perceptions of risks, benefits, ethical concerns, and practical challenges of conducting different type of autism research, we plan to use this information to develop a brief research ethics training to create better guidance for researchers regarding how to recognize ethical concerns in autism research and respond in a way that honors the perspectives and preference of autistic people and their families.
