Support for Early Childhood State Systems Through the Act Early Network (AUCD Act Early-COVID-19)
Project Description:
This Act Early Network State Systems grant is designed to support COVID-19 recovery and strengthen resilience skills, behaviors, and resources for children, families, and communities. In line with the RFA, three primary activities are planned for the one-year project period: (1) Develop and coordinate an Act Early State Team of key early childhood stakeholders; (2) conduct a statewide needs assessment to identify impacts from COVID-19, barriers and opportunities within the early childhood system related to social determinants of health; and (3) implement a plan to improve the four stages of early identification with specific emphasis on parent-engaged developmental monitoring. Specific CDC-developed process and outcome indicators and evaluation framework will be utilized.
