Project Description:
Accuracy confirmed by RZD - 02/11/20 The purpose of the project is to design, revise and conduct ongoing evaluation of the initial and long term outcomes of multiple programs for the Tennessee Developmental Disabilities Council. Programs receiving ongoing assessment include [1] Partners in Policymaking (PIP) annual cohort, [2] Partners in Policymaking (PIP) longitudinal cohort, [3] Youth Leadership Academy (YLA), [4] People Planning Together (PPT), [5] Leadership Academy for Excellence in Disability Services (LAEDS), and [6] Scholarship Fund. Leadership development, which includes improved self-advocacy skill, is commonly assessed in program graduates. The ongoing evaluation of each program leads to annual refinement of the topics, presenters, and teaching methodologies. Such changes will increase the leadership knowledge, skills and behaviors of the people who participate in the programs. Measuring program outcomes is a required component of the publicly funded services, and documented impact of program benefits may be used to apply for ongoing funded support.
