Addressing the Sexual Violence Epidemic in the IDD Community
Project Description:
Margaret DeRamus and Morgan Parlier, co-facilitators of the Let's Talk: Sexual Health Education Series for youth/adults with IDD and their caregivers, have launched a statewide initiative to bring together stakeholders from across the state to address the sexual violence epidemic in the I/DD community. We have comprised a network of almost 40 multisector collaborators to come together quarterly to share relevant work occurring and to develop a program for raising awareness and sharing resources and technical assistance for utilizing sexual health education to reduce sexual violence.
