Center:
Fiscal Year:
2019
Contact Information:
Project Description:
This project utilizes two years of funding to extend a primary goal of North Carolinas Act Early state team/Autism Alliance to identify young children at risk for developmental delay/ASD, especially those from minority or underserved populations in rural areas. In collaboration with Title V and their Innovative Approaches program, educational and screening opportunities and resources will be shared with interagency professionals and parents to increase awareness of typical developmental milestones and improve early identification of children with ASD or other developmental disabilities. A primary emphasis will be on the parent and professional engagement with and use of the LTSAE materials and messages, as well as strengthening connections to existing local and state resources, to support systemic child find efforts in NC.
