Project Description:
The University of Tennessee Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities contracted with AUCD to provide interdisciplinary assessments of children under the age of 3 years who were receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits and who were up for redetermination to see if they had a disability that would qualify them to continue to receive benefits. This is a collaborative project with the Tennessee Disability Determination Service and the Social Security Administration to refine procedures to be used in disability determination for such children.
