Project Description:
An ASD Enriched (ASD-ER) ECHO Cohort The University of North Carolina (UNC) will be supporting the aboved referenced application by re-contacting approximately 169 subjects from our Infant Brain Imaging Study (IBIS) who have participated in selected existing research protocols and who have given for recontact in order to collecting new data to address project Specific Research Questions relating to prenatal environmental exposure and autism risk and to support the ECHO initiative common data collection protocol. Data collection in support of the project Specific Research Questions will occur over the first five years and will be limited shed deciduous teeth. ECHO common protocol data collection will likely begin in Year 3. Dr. Piven, as the IBIS Network PI, will oversee coordination between the ECHO project and IBIS. UNC will also coordinate with our DCC to transfer select existing data on ASD-related developmental outcomes and covariates from participating subjects to Drexel University. UNC investigators will also contribute to the development of the ECHO common protocol and to the generation of scholarship related to the Specific Research Aims.
