Program Evaluation - UP at Western Carolina University

The CIDD will provide an outside evaluation for the University Participant (UP) program at Western Carolina University, a postsecondary education program for students with developmental disabilities. UP is federally funded as a model demonstration site by the Department of Education. The purpose of UP is to promote a successful transition of students with intellectual disabilities to a successful adult life in the community. This program evaluation will review program components to determine effectiveness in meeting student needs, the impact of UP on the campus community, and the impact of UP on families. The CIDD team evaluates UP as a comprehensive PSE model by reviewing program poicy, guidelines, and procedure toward successful implementation and sustainability.
