Project Description:
The Idaho Alternate Finance Program (AFP) is a low-interest loan guarantee program with strong collaborative relationships with the Idaho banking community to expand the availability of guaranteed low-interest loans, making AT more widely available to all Idahoans with disabilities, regardless of type of disability, health, age, income, race, location of residence, or type of AT device or service for which financing is requested. Additionally the Idaho AFP Project will expand the availability and accessibility of credit-building activities for Idahoans with disabilities. As well as, augment and strengthen the consumer choice and control process for the Idaho AFP loan guarantee program. The overall intent of the Idaho AFP is to provide the resources necessary for people to acquire the AT they need to live happy, healthy, productive lives in their own homes and communities.
