Project Description:
This project addresses the challenges related to disjointed or absent data to support decision-making, policy development and planning in early childhood. WI Dept of Public Instruction was awarded a grant to meet these objects: 1.Analyze the current early childhood data environment in Wisconsin 2.Establish data sharing methodologies 3.Create a workplan to begin the data sharing process 4.Develop strategies for data governance and long term system usage. Waisman Center assists in staffing this project that is managed by a cross department state team that is poised to identify and address the unique opportunities and challenges in having aligned data systems within the parameters of HIPAA and FERPA. The expected benefit is increased collaboration and access to good data to inform policy.
