NCBC - Florida Developmental Disabilities Council contract (year 2)
Project Description:
The Florida DD Council (FDDC) and The OSU Nisonger Center have partnered for a second year to focus on the sustainability of the FDDC grantee programs from year 1. To accomplish this, representatives from both affiliates will visit our Columbus site together over the course of two days in April, 2011. The purpose of this visit is to a) help them to clarify and address specific needs with regard to ongoing administration of the program, b) teach them how to provide ongoing facilitator training related to literacy (associated with increased facilitator satisfaction and retention), and c) provide them with an opportunity to visit several book clubs in our area for the purpose of observing best practices and talking with veteran facilitators and members. Additionally, we will provide evaluation services for FDDC (regarding the programs' potential for sustainability). We will continue to serve on the project advisory committees of each affiliate and remain available for technical assistance as needed.
