Project Description:
This orientation program was developed by the Nisonger Center, and it covers the basics in the field of mental retardation and developmental disabilities. It is designed to meet the needs of the initial 30-hour orientation program that is required for all new employees in Ohio's county board system. The content has been approved by the Executive Committee of the Association of Ohio County Board Superintendents and by the Ohio Department of MR/DD. The Program takes two weeks to complete, and it involves reading material that is provided on-line (it can also be printed on paper, but remember that the material is copyrighted and should not be distributed), taking part in two on-line discussions, and taking two quizzes.
