An integrative review of literature from 2017 to 2023 identified 16 studies on adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) screening tools, highlighting a limited selection and significant variations in psychometric evidence. The findings reveal a critical lack of instruments designed for the female population and emphasize that screening tools should only serve as a complement to clinical diagnosis.
