This study evaluates fitting Murray's system of needs theory into the Big Five personality framework using a widely used Brazilian test, the Personality Factor Inventory. Researchers analyzed data from a large sample of Brazilian participants across sectors like education and human resources. The results demonstrated an adequate model fit, consistent reliability, and gender invariance. This suggests Murray's personality theory can successfully align with the Big Five traits.
