Product Description:
This cross-sectional study evaluated how subjective prison experiences, education, and perceived social support affect the mental health of inmates in Brazil. Using self-report instruments, the research analyzed levels of anxiety, depression, and somatic complaints. The findings revealed that positive internal prison environments and robust emotional support networks protect against mental distress. This highlights the need for correctional policies that foster supportive jail structures.
