Testing in the civil service: Does changing the answer sheet affect test results?

This study investigated whether modifying answer sheets or retesting participants alters scores on psychological assessments used in legal and civil service exams. A sample of 148 students completed memory and intelligence tests across two sessions using two different answer sheet formats. Results showed that changing the answer sheet layout did not significantly impact outcomes. However, scores improved during the second session, highlighting a clear retesting effect.
