        Project Description:
        The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) is an online resource for research and practice information in the area of physical activity and health promotioin for persons with disabilities.  The goal of NCPAD is to help reduce the incidence of secondary conditions and improve the overall quality of life for persons with disabilities through promotion of higher levels of physical activity and health lifestyles.  Developed as a cooperative agreement between the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Division of Human Development and Disability at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NCPAD collects, organized and synthesizes information to inform consumers, guide practitioners, facilitate development of best practices, and foster future research.
