Project Description:
The Great Lakes Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) provides technical assistance, training and material dissemination regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). Additionally, the DBTAC provides technical assistance and training to educational entities regarding their responsibilities to ensure that the information technology purchased and utilized is accessible to and useable by individuals with disabilities. The Center's purpose is to assist business, government, educational entities and individuals with disabilities and their families to understand their rights and responsibilities under the ADA and insure that within the education system administrators, educators, staff, students and parents have full and equal access to the programs, services and information utilized or disseminated through a variety of information technologies.
