Michigan State Police Violence Prevention Training
Project Description:
The Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) will provide training to Michigan law enforcement officers on investigating and preventing abuse and sexual assault against older individuals and persons with disabilties. Our services will include the development of curriculum materials, community tool kits, a public awareness campaign and print brochures. It is expected that the training provided by DDI will result in increased awareness and sensitivity among Michigan's law enforcement officers so that they can serve older individuals and persons with disabilities in an accessible manner.
