DSWS will work with Community Mainstreaming Associates, Inc. to assess current workforce practices and make recommendations specific to the development and implementation of a career path framework and model. This includes a series of focus groups and key staff interviews, a review of related policies and practices and key data collection. Community Mainstreaming Associates, Inc. will have access to SupportWise Data to support the collection of key workforce data to understand the strengths, challenges, and opportunities of the current direct support and frontline supervisor workforce. Community Mainstreaming Associates, Inc. will receive a report summarizing findings and recommendations from the Discovery phase and a corresponding Executive Summary presentation. Following the Discovery Phase, the Direct Support Workforce Solutions consultants will support and engage in an Action Planning and Implementation Phase with Community Mainstreaming Associates, Inc. This phase consists of supporting Community Mainstreaming Associates, Inc. in implementing one to two recommendations from the Discovery Phase, using evidence-based strategies to strengthen recruitment, selection, training, and retention. The assigned Direct Support Workforce Solutions team will guide and model a proven implementation model grounded in principles of implementation science.
