Project Description:
Strengthen supports and leadership skills for people with DD and their families in varied communities, through outreach, workshops, parent and sibling groups, networking, educational materials, technical assistance, and website resources. Examples of activities/programs: a. Provide support, education, and activities to facilitate self- and family leadership through family groups and programs that meet the needs of our community. b. Develop programming to support individuals with high support needs c. Operate a Community Engagement and Resource Center providing in person and virtual support for families and community members, person and family-centered events. d. Provide an evidence-based Family Navigator Program with individualized support to improve service access. e. Explore technology development for improving resource sharing
