Project Description:
The Northwest ADA Center, housed within the University of Washington Institute on Human Development and Disability, serves as the ADA National Network Regional Center for Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. The Center promotes implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by providing technical assistance, continuing education, information dissemination, and applied research to individuals with disabilities, employers, healthcare providers, businesses, government agencies, and community organizations. Through collaboration with the ADA Knowledge Translation Center and national ADA Network partners, the project develops and disseminates evidence-based resources, delivers accessible training and technical assistance, supports healthcare accessibility initiatives, and advances equitable access and community inclusion for people with disabilities.
