Project Description:

This course introduces brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) as an access method to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for individuals with severe speech and physical impairments.  Upon completion of the course learners will be able to: Discuss the fundamental principles of BCIs and how they are applied to support communication.  Differentiate between key types of BCI systems (e.g., P300, SSVEP, Motor Imagery).  Identify key clinical considerations for BCI-AAC implementation.
