Project Description:
A sustainable approach to increasing knowledge and integration of clinically transformative supervision skills for current and prospective supervisors in real-work settings. The program builds on decades of research within VR demonstrating clinical transformative supervision and its skills are both in deficit and desired. No known training dedicated to clinical supervision skills acquisition exists nationally. ImpactVR intends to design and deliver training utilizing a progressive knowledge acquisition-integration-implementation model, enculturating skills in actual supervisory practice. This will result in improved supervisor-supervisee relationships, enhanced counselor confidence, staff retention which translates to quality services, and improvement of employment outcomes. To ensure a high quality and sustainable training program, ImpactVR will gather input and feedback from key stakeholders and evaluate training quality, relevance, and usefulness on an ongoing basis to continuously improve the program. ImpactVR will use universal learning design principles and offer universal, targeted and intensive training in synchronous and asynchronous formats to meet the different learning styles of trainees. ImpactVR will: 1. Establish and Implement the Supervisory Transformation Advisory Team (STAT) 2. Conduct a Comprehensive Review of Best Practices in Clinical Supervision 3. Build Infrastructure for a Comprehensive Three-Tiered Training Program 4. Design and Deliver Tiered (Intensive, Targeted and Universal) Clinical Transformative Supervision Training. 5. Implement a Comprehensive Dissemination and Collaboration Plan 6. Evaluate Project Effectiveness and Support Continuous Improvemen
